Houston, TX – February 17, 2026 — Family Houston will host its flagship fundraising event, the Laughing Matters Gala 2026, on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at The Revaire, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The evening will feature a headline performance by Colin Quinn—comedian, writer, actor, and Saturday Night Live alumnus—bringing together community leaders and supporters for a night where laughter meets purpose.
The gala is proudly chaired by Kristen Wong and Nick Dhesi and will honor Joan and David Dunlap with the Community Service Award, along with Revenew International as the Corporate Honoree. Proceeds will support Family Houston's mission to help others help themselves by expanding access to mental health counseling and the resources individuals and families need to build brighter futures.
"Laughing Matters is more than a celebration—it's a reminder that humor can open doors to real conversations about mental health," said Ken Sheirr, President & CEO of Family Houston. "When we come together for a night like this, we're also coming together to reduce stigma, strengthen hope, and make care more accessible for our neighbors across Greater Houston."
Known for his sharp social commentary and standout storytelling, Colin Quinn has built a career spanning television, film, and Broadway, including his time on SNL's Weekend Update and multiple successful comedy specials. His performance will cap an evening designed to entertain, connect, and inspire meaningful support for Family Houston's services.
"Family Houston has been a foundational force for individuals and families in our community," said gala chair Nick Dhesi. "We're honored to help lead a night that celebrates that impact—and fuels what comes next."
