As an official Run for a Reason (RFAR) charity partner of the Chevron Houston Marathon, Family Houston gives you the opportunity to turn every mile into meaningful support for your neighbors — funding Mental Health Counseling, Financial Stability Coaching, and Community Support Services for over 3,200 Houstonians each year.

Whether you're running the Chevron Houston Marathon, the Aramco Houston Half Marathon, or the We Are Houston 5K, your fundraising directly fuels 122 years of impact right here in our city.

HERO Registration (Donate for Registration)

Want a guaranteed entry without the fundraising commitment? HERO Registration gets you into the Chevron Houston Marathon or Aramco Houston Half Marathon with a reduced registration fee plus a one-time, tax-deductible donation of at least $350 to Family Houston.

Registration pricing: Marathon: $350 + processing fees | Half Marathon: $135 + processing fees
(Plus your $350 minimum donation to Family Houston)

You'll also receive a personalized fundraising page if you'd like to continue raising funds beyond your initial donation. Want to give more than $350? Simply adjust your donation amount before checkout.

Key Dates & Milestones

October 1, 2026 — Marathon and Half Marathon runners must have raised at least $175 of their required minimum by this date. If this milestone is not met, the application will not be accepted.

December 1, 2026 — 5K runners must have raised at least $175 of their required minimum. This is also the deadline for fundraising balances that determine HERO status and benefits eligibility.

January 5, 2027 — Full fundraising minimum must be met. If not, your bib will be held at packet pickup until you show proof of meeting the minimum or pay the remaining balance.

January 29, 2027 at Noon — Fundraising campaign closes.
