Front Desk Volunteer Assistant
Family Houston Front Desk Volunteer Assistants help with a little bit of everything! During a volunteer shift you might see 50 clients cycle through our lobby and you’ll be there to help with everything from soliciting and collecting client surveys, making appointment reminder phone calls, or sitting with children while their parents meet with our counselors and case managers. This position is the perfect mix of administrative and direct client interaction. Shifts take place Monday – Friday from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm. Helping clients to complete paperwork, making reminder phone calls, and data entry are all in a day’s work for this role. Computer Lab Supervisor
Help clients directly with resumé writing and job hunting by becoming a Computer Lab Volunteer Supervisor. You’ll open/close the lab and assist clients in utilizing the HP Computer Lab, even developing curriculum and leading group classes. Our Volunteer Counselor role is limited to individuals licensed to practice at an independent practice level with current state licensure as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW. As a Volunteer Counselor you’ll be assigned a caseload of clients based on your training and skillset. This is a perfect opportunity for those looking to gain additional experience in the field or maintain their licensure as a volunteer. La Ventanilla de Financeria Volunteer
Support our community efforts at the Mexican Consulate by becoming a La Ventanilla de Financeria Volunteer today! Our goal is to reach as many clients as possible and you’ll achieve that be sharing information from our community resource table located in the lobby of the Mexican Consulate. You ’ll assist with scheduling appointments for Financial Coaching clients, listening to their needs and referring to other organizations, and following up to hear their progress.
