Director of Information Technology

Family Houston is seeking a full-time Director of Information Technology.

The position is responsible for the overall management and operations of Information Technology / Systems and is expected to formulate plans to help manage the Information Technology environment including but not limited to driving cost improvement and efficiency ideas. This position will create and maintain a sustainable framework of policies and procedure, and assist in creating client output / outcome reports for distribution to funders and the community and to be reviewed by a Quality Council committee. Other responsibilities include analytically reviewing the results of such reports to ensure accuracy and reasonableness and communicating directly with all third-party software providers. In addition, this position is expected to offer a strategic vision for future growth of the IT functions for the Agency.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implements, maintains and supports systems infrastructure
  • Operational monitoring, maintenance, tracking, reporting, and problem resolution
  • Installs, configures and manages network and storage solutions
  • Optimizes network hardware, software, servers, storage, and communications infrastructure
  • Ensures infrastructure redundancy and disaster recovery processes function properly
  • Performs install, setup and maintenance of Active Directory/Office 365 Users, Groups, and Policies
  • Develop, implement and ensure compliance with operational and security policies and procedures for all hardware and software
  • Monitor the IT ticketing system to ensure timely correction of any incidents and requests
  • Coordination with external vendors and service providers
  • Develop and generate program output and outcome reports

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or 5 plus years equivalent professional job-related experience is required
  • Experience with Active Directory
  • Experience with LANs, WANs, TCP/IP, Firewalls, Routers, and Switches
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably Microsoft Azure
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 products and administrative dashboards
  • Experience with Windows Server, Exchange Server, and SQL
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of IT security principles, technologies, best practices, and HIPAA compliance.
  • Experience with virtualized networks or VMware Certified Professional
  • Experience developing scripts or tools for automating administrative tasks
  • Understanding of asset management/inventory processes, server and network deployment strategies
